Windows 3 11 On Dosbox Tutorial

This was already discussed, but I believe making a tutorial would make it easier to find. By default, Windows/386 2.x will crash during start up due to an unsupported DOS version. Here's how to fix it: 1. Take your Windows/386 2.x disk images or floppies and dump all their contents to a folder. We'll name it a.

Make a new folder named c. Mount the a folder as the a drive in DOSBox, and mount the c folder as the c drive in DOSBox. Switch to the a drive, and run setup. Once finished set the version using the ver set command to 3 30. There is no 6. You are done!

Now have fun with your Windows/386 2.x installation! Note: win386 does not work, shows HMA error.

If anyone gets it working, post it here and I will add it to this post. Thanks, and hope this guide is useful _________________. You can use DOSBox-x to mount a floppy image with MS-DOS 3.3x (or PC-DOS 3.30 as well) to install Windows/386 2.x (from 2.01 to 2.11) on a hard disk image and, then, mount it on the emulator (but knowing its cylinder size as here: -size 512,63,16,X.

Also you must have RetroArch installed to it. I personally don't use OP's method to make a DOSBOX game work. I use my own method: - Add a DOSBOX game in Hakchi2 by choosing the game's main.EXE file only - Change Command Line Arguments into /bin/dosbox /usr/share/games/nes/kachikachi/(DOSBOX Game ID)/(Main.EXE) - Manually copy the entire game into /usr/share/games/nes/kachikachi/(DOSBOX Game ID)/ with either Clovershell + Linux commands or Hakchi 2.16's FTP server But OP's method may be better on deleting DOSBOX games. My method requires manually deleting them with Clovershell + Linux commands or FTP server. I personally don't use OP's method to make a DOSBOX game work.
